Before representing clients harmed by negligent and often fraudulent conduct of Pest Control companies, big and small, John Bowers championed victims of criminal conduct at the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. While serving at the District Attorney’s Office, John prosecuted a myriad of criminal offenses over the course of 29 years including capital murder, drug trafficking, financial fraud, and many high profile jury trials.

In addition to his successes in the courtroom at the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Bowers led the Homicide Division, including supervising its Circuit and District Court divisions, and served as Chief Deputy District Attorney for nearly a decade.

During his time as a prosecutor, John was a member of the Alabama District Attorneys Association, the Association of Government Attorneys in Capital Litigation, the Metropolitan Criminal Justice Executive Association, and he also served on the Prescott House Child Advocacy Center Board of Directors.

Mr. Bowers is a proud “Double Bulldog,” a graduate of both Samford University, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and Cumberland School of Law, Juris Doctor.

He continues to pursue justice, like a bulldog, for his clients and the founding of Cochran Bowers PC was the logical progression to help him achieve that goal.
